areas, on the northern edge of
Smithville
Lake
. Our citizens are friendly and enjoy the relaxed, quiet and
peaceful atmosphere of our City of 2300+residents.
Plattsburg is the county seat of Clinton county Missouri and
has the local retail and service business to support the city
and surrounding area. These included grocery, variety, hardware,
lumber, law offices, doctors, dentist, fitness center, nursing
facilities, restaurants, auto and 24 hour convenience store to
name a few. If you enjoy antique shopping, we have several
stores to fit your needs.
We are the home of the
Clinton
county R-3
School District
which is accredited with distinction. The Plattsburg Country
Club is located in the center of town, bordering the Smithville
Wild Life Refuge. If you are looking for a challenging round of
Golf, please come and play a round. We also have two swimming
pools for summer recreation, one owned and operated by the city
and the other at the country club.
