Plattsburg Municipal Pool (Bodie's Pool)

On Memorial Day of 2004, the new Plattsburg Municipal Pool was opened for the recreational use of the city and area.  The pool was built on land donated by the family of Bill Bodenhausen.

"Bodie's Pool" features a one meter diving board, a 68-foot winding slide, an "umbrella" fountain, basketball nets, swimming lanes, lounge chairs, restroom facilities, changing areas and a snack bar.  "Jumping" fountains greet you as you first walk into the pool area, and a zero depth entry is included so children of all ages can enjoy the refreshing water.  For those who like the water but not the sun, the pool offers a shaded area under the safety of a huge umbrella. The pool has several trained lifeguards who make sure the pool, the people and all activities are safe.

The pool is located on W. Frost St. and to the west of Birch Street, across from the elementary school.   The pool is open daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day, from noon to 7 p.m. Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult.  An "adults only" swim (ages 18 & up) is available from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. every evening.

Daily admission to the pool is $2.50 per individual or season passes may be obtained at City Hall.
